ISABELLA HIGH SCHOOL: First Day of School

School8

Isabella High School issued the following announcement on Sept. 7.

Important Information for the First Day of School:

Morning Drop-Off of Car Riders: No students are allowed on campus prior to 7:20A.M. You will be asked to remain in your car if you arrive prior to this time. All students that are transported to school by car are to be dropped off at the main breezeway (by the office) regardless of grade level.

Afternoon Car Rider Pick-Up: Please review the car rider guidelines that were posted in the "Latest News" section of our webpage. If you are an elementary student that is an on campus learner and are in need of a car rider number/hang tag, you can pick this up when you drop off your student on the first day of school. Mrs. Littleton will have your hang tag if you have previously notified us that your child will be a car rider. Please see her when dropping off your child to pick up this tag. If you have not notified the school of this, you will need to email Mrs. Green for a car rider number. Her email is jhgreen@chiltonboe.com.

Masks: Students in grades 2-12 are expected to wear masks. Students in these grades will need to wear their masks all day (including in the classrooms and anywhere else that they will not be able to be socially distanced at 6ft apart). Students in Kindergarten and 1st grade are encouraged to wear masks if at all possible.

Chromebooks for On Campus Learners: Technology forms will be going home on the first day of school. Please make every effort to sign and return the forms by the next day. Students cannot begin bringing home their Chromebook until forms have been signed by both parent and student and returned.

Attendance for Online Students: All students have been enrolled in an "Isabella High School Student" course in Schoology. Online students will see upon clicking on this course that they may submit their attendance daily by clicking on the correct button. One button is for elementary attendance, one is for high school A day attendance, and one for high school B day attendance. Once they click on the appropriate button, it will take them to a Google form which they will need to complete and submit. All online students are expected to submit their attendance by 8:00P.M. daily to be counted present for that school day.

Chromebook Log-Ins: This information can be obtained from your child's homeroom teacher (if your child does not already know their Chromebook log-in).

Schoology Parent Access Code: For high school students that are on campus learners, this information will be given out tomorrow during 5th period. If your child is an online learner, you will need to contact your child's 5th period teacher to obtain this information. For elementary students, this information will be given to you tomorrow by their homeroom teacher (regardless if they are on online learner or an on campus learner).

Lastly, PLEASE extend GRACE, KINDNESS, and PATIENCE to our faculty and staff. We are have been tasked with a nearly insurmountable task during this difficult time. Please understand that we are aware that this is a tough time for everyone. Our faculty is doing the absolute best they can to be there for all children and parents. Remember they are human (just like you). Reach out to us if you need help, but understand our response times may be slower than usual. We are looking forward to seeing our on campus students for a wonderful first day of school!

As always, It's A Great Day to be a Mustang!
