Jefferson State Community College issued the following announcement on Oct. 22.
On October 21, Jefferson State held its annual Retiree Luncheon via an online conference. The program provided time for retirees to catch up with each other and a college update by JSCC President Keith Brown. Instead of the usual sit-down lunch, JSCC's Culinary Program prepared a wonderful meal for drive-through pickup.
During the program, President Brown awarded JSCC's 2020 Distinguished Retiree Award to Ann Fulmer. With over 50 years of dedication to Jefferson State, Ann exemplifies servant leadership among her community, church, friends, and family. As a retiree, Ann still participates in Pioneer Day and in the planning of the retiree luncheon. She was involved in creating Jefferson State Celebrates, the annual employee recognition banquet, and served as a key advisor for the planning of the college's 50th Anniversary Celebration. Most recently, she has served on the college's ASPIRE committee which discusses future technology needs with local business leaders.
Ann Fulmer was a JSCC faculty member from 1967-2000 and taught New Options seminars for over 20 years. Ann remains active by golfing three times a week, snow skiing, playing bridge, and being a very involved grandmother. The entire Jefferson State family says, "Thank you, Ann!"
