VEHICLE CHASE:
Several people have inquired about the vehicle chase that occurred approximately an hour ago. CPD and CCSO were involved in a vehicle pursuit of a subject in which the subject wrecked and almost struck a deputy while attempting to avoid spike strips. The driver fled on foot into the woods following the accident. A short time later, he was located by CCSO K9 tracking team and taken into custody. No serious injuries occurred during the incident.
