Two Huntsville Police Officers Shot and Died From His Injuries | Chilton County Sheriff's Office
One of the two Huntsville Police Officers shot yesterday has died from his injuries. The officers were responding to a domestic violence call. The suspect had pending charges from 2022 for two 2nd degree assaults and possession of a pistol without a permit.
Domestic violence calls are a daily occurrence for police departments and often involve the same suspects and victims over and over.
Police officers are thrown into volatile situations every day involving individuals with mental health issues and/or under the influence of drugs or alcohol and required to “solve the problem.” When an officer has to use force their every action is scrutinized and evaluated by “experts” from the comfort and safety of their couch. When an officer is killed or injured “they were just doing their job, or they knew what they signed on for.” I am grateful that we still have a few good men and women willing to do this job.
Officer Garrett Crumby gave his life serving his community. Both Officer Crumby and wounded Officer Albert Morin knowingly responded to a life threatening situation to help people they probably don’t even know.
Please pause and pray or at least think about these Officers and the friends and families they left behind. (Chief Hyche)
