TRAFFIC ADVISORY:
Expect heavy traffic on US 31 and Hwy 119 this weekend. ALDOT will be doing work on I-65 South that will require the interstate to be down to one lane from just south of I-459 to Valleydale Rd. The work begins at 7:00 pm this evening and will continue through Saturday night.
ALDOT will be using new technology recently installed on all of the traffic signals on US 31 from Valleydale Rd to Hwy 119, which will give considerable time to US 31 and the left turn from US 31 onto Hwy 119. Signal timing will revert back to normal on Sunday at 6:00 am.
